Chell and GLaDOS have finally defeated Wheatley, but GLaDOS has one last trick up her sleeve. Determined to get rid of Chell and ensure she never comes back, GLaDOS sends her hurtling to another dimension thanks to an experimental device Aperture Science was working on before they were all killed by the A.I. And to add insult to injury, GLaDOS decides to give Chell some upgrades, just to make her that much of a problem for whoever ends up the survivor's enemy. And anyway, what are the chances of Chell ending up in a reality of superheroes?

The air inside smelt of danger, and fear, and death. She never had to be more on-edge than here and now. But an agreement was made, and she would not die-aside from her own mistakes. But with certain death outside, and conditions at least somewhat favorable for life surviving more than a day underground, Chell didn't exactly have any options. Surely that was the only reason she was sleeping soundly in Aperture? Though… GLaDOS’s singing certainly didn't hurt.

(This is a deep rewrite of an older fic of mine that I've been messing with for a while now, and I think it's finally ready to be let out into the world. This is mostly just a deep dive into Wheatley's psyche because hee hoo in this house we love angst
Also Wheatley's an AI, every android in this AU has always been an AI, only GLaDOS has a human side. Chapters frequently flip between present and past because of the flashbacks and I hope it's not too confusing oops-) -

Now, under the subjugation of a cruel and powerful alien race, both humankind and their planet are edging ever closer to extinction.
But unbeknownst to Chell, there is a possibility, however slight, that knows a secret that could change everything. She just has to live long enough to reveal it.
