When Will wakes, there’s nothing left for him. He’s unable to speak and his body is in pieces. There’s a touch that tells him one thing. Hannibal is there.
Sometimes being with someone weighs heavier than their absence. Sometimes you just want to stay down in the depths, but if Will knows anything for certain, it's that most things end where they start. And that he has no choice but to ball his fists, cuss himself out, follow suit and hold on tight.

After the fall Will and Hannibal end up in an isolated shack in Nova Scotia. Their relationship evolves with every place they move to. They push past pain killers, close proximity, bad dreams, curtainless windows and dead memories. Past is past, they can only keep going.

They didn't move to separate rooms. The cabin only had one bed, and neither was willing to let the other out of their peripheral vision.
They lay on top of the covers, fully dressed but for their shoes. The air was freezing, their bodies the only source of heat. Will turned on his side, facing Hannibal. The silence was no longer empty, it was heavy with the weight of everything unsaid.
"I can hear your brain, Hannibal," Will muttered into the darkness. He sighed and did something that made Hannibal’s heart skip a jagged beat, he reached out and slid his arm over Hannibal’s chest, pulling himself closer until their foreheads

Will and Hannibal are stuck recovering in a hidden Texas house and their relationship slowly evolves with every place they move, pushing past a haze of painkillers, forced proximity, and bad dreams.

That slight cloud of comfort was completely gone the moment he walked into the kitchen.
The plate on the table seemed to be making fun of him. The coldness came back as if he was hit by a bucket of freezing water. Hannibal denied him again. Even after he tried to offer him a hand, to open the door a little bit to their old moments. Will choked back a sound, blinked away the hot tears that threatened to fall and clenched both hands in fists, so hard that his nails drew blood.
He made the way back to his room without touching the food and made sure to close his door hard enough for Hannibal to hear.or
Will and Hannibal have a lot of unsolved issues that they should definitely sort out, but as we know, they are terrible at dealing with their own emotions. The first months of adjusting to their new lives are not easy, are they gonna make it after all?
