Summary
Samira Mohan is a second year graduate student studying demonology at Boston College under the demanding Exorcist Michael Robinavich, but when a mishap during an exorcism leads her to get kicked off of his team, only one of the university's lead exorcists is willing to take her on as an apprentice - Jack Abbot, a rogue practitioner whose unorthodox methods simultaneously stimulate Samira's curiosity and leave her constantly on edge about the security of her position at the university. But when an unexpected connection blooms between her and Abbot, she is forced to reconsider everything she thought she knew about demonology - and her own heart.

"You can prove yourself this time." Samira leans against the bookshelf, slides one ankle over the other, the slit of her skirt revealing the barest hint of skin. "You can resist temptation."
A beat of silence, two.
"Can't you, Father Abbot?"
